1. Introduction & Overview
Established in 2003 by H.H. Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, the HH Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi Foundation is a non-governmental charitable organization dedicated to the rehabilitation of destitute women and children, with a primary focus on the girl child. The foundation embraces individuals without distinction of caste, religion, region, race, or colour, providing a nurturing environment aimed at holistic development.
Our vision is to offer a joyful, secure, and loving life to women and children neglected by society. Guided by the teachings of H.H. Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, we strive to instil pure motherly love for every human, animal, nature, and the entire Mother Earth. Our aim is to develop inner balance, peace, tolerance, and respect among all individuals.
Projects & Activities Total Numbers Girls- 50.
Educational Services
All resident children attend nearby English medium school and Hindi Medium School Bus Conveyance is provided to them.
This Year had a very satisfactory result of class 10th CBSE Board and UP Board. All other children got promoted with good result with appreciation from the schools.
To support their academic growth, the foundation offers professional tutoring, special tuition classes, and computer literacy programs. Our goal is to provide quality education and personal development for every child.
Vocational Training : Along with studies girls excel in singing and dancing giving performances from time to time.
• Residents receive training in various skills, including Music, Cooking & Candle Making, Indian Classical/Folk Dance, Handicrafts & Painting, Computer.
• They are also given opportunity for Tailoring & Fashion Design, Beauty Care, & Embroidery.
Sports Activities: Sports is important to keep Physical and mental balance. It is related and a part of overall growth. Daily routine is followed girls are up early morning and evening practicing. They have been taking part in National sports competition. This year they stood first position in National soft Hockey championship Held in Faridabad Haryana. They also play Rugby, Bocce, Kho- Kho, Kabbadi, Athletics and Marathons- 5 Km and 2.5 km categories and being appreciated from the Organisers.
Cultural programs;
Residents Girls participate in various programs and festivals, celebrating events like Independence day, Raksha Bandhan, Holi, Diwali, Dussehra, Christmas and Republic day. They also attend Sahaja Yoga seminars across India, taking part in cultural programs and setting up fundraising stalls with handicraft made by them. . Excursions have included visits to Delhi.
Educational Trips:
Visits were arranged for Prime Ministers Museum New Delhi, India Gate New Delhi, National War Memorial, New Delhi and City Park Carnival, Greater Noida. All this trips added to their knowledge.
Special Activities & Celebrations
• Competitions : Girls participated in Sahaja Yoga competitions, quizzes, Dancing, Painting, and Poetry events.
• International yoga day is celebrated with great enthusiasm.
• Girls Make beautiful Rangolies in Every Festival.
• Girls learn to interact and meet when girls from other universities such as Noida International University, Galgotias University, ITS Dental College, Sharda University, GL Bajaj University and NIMT Greater Noida and Bennett University giving our girls a good insight for future.
• Lady Police officers coming from time to time to make them aware of their surrounding and safety measures.
• Meditation Leadership: Each girl gets a chance to lead evening meditation sessions.
• Sahaja Classes: Regular sessions by Sahaja yoginis, focusing on Shri Mataji’s teachings, bhajans, and meditation.
Gardening & Cooking
• They are they are interested in gardening. Our Garden produces Mangoes, Amla, Apple, Papaya and Jamun etc and vegetable Brinjal, Lemon, carrot, Tomato, Lady Finger, Mint and Garlic Etc.
• Cooking: On weekends, girls enjoy cooking and learning new recipes.
Creative Activities
• Decoration: Dorm aunties conduct activity classes where girls create beautiful decorative items.
• Festive Celebrations: All Pujas are celebrated with enthusiasm. Girls themselves handle Puja and stage decorations at the Health Centre and attend Pujas at Nirmal Dham New Delhi.
Future Plans & Goals : Looking ahead, the foundation aims to:
• Expand its education and vocational training programs.
• Increase outreach and rehabilitation initiatives for more underprivileged women and children.
• Strengthen partnerships with donors and organizations to enhance impact.
Conclusion
The year 2024-2025 was a resounding success!
• All girls passed their exams and progressed to higher classes.
• They grew academically, creatively, and spiritually, becoming confident and capable individuals.
